Thermal Transfer Ribbons
We offer you a wide selection of thermal transfer ribbons to ensure perfect printing of your labels and optimal durability.
​From the standard wax-based ribbon for paper labels via the wax-/resin-based premium ribbon for smudge-resistant Chromolux labels up to resin-based super premium ribbon for smudge-, scratch- and oil-resistant PE labels or nameplates.

Wax Ribbons

Different types of hard and soft waxes are used in wax ribbons. They are generally used for short term applications where the image is not required to stand up to repeated scratching, contact with chemicals, or high temperatures. Wax ribbons can be printed on a wide range of label stocks, but the most common and economical match is coated paper.

Wax ribbons work well on coated and uncoated paper stocks and print at higher speeds and lower temperatures than wax/resin or resin ribbons.

Wax ribbon has longer storage time, the better product stability, excellent heat resistance and abrasion, making the printer picture much more durable, clear and smooth.​

Resin Ribbons

Resin ribbons offer the highest degree of scratch resistance. They are also resistant to a wide range of solvents and can be used in applications in which very high temperatures are encountered.

The ink is designed to slightly dissolve into the plastic surface of the label. The tight adhesion of the ink to the surface of the label renders the printing extremely durable.
